She became a television star with Balaji Telefilms Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi where she played a character named Daksha Virani. Ketki took part in Nach Baliye Season 2 along with husband Rasik and she was besides one of the contestant of Bigg Boss 2 aired on Colors channel.

Ketki is a Gujrati cinema and theater actress. She has done around 75 Gujrati movies and number of plays as well. In Hindi movie Aamdani Atthani Kharcha Rupaiyaa she appeared opposite actor Johny Lever. In superhit movie Kal Ho Na Ho she played Saif Ali Khan's mother. She was besides seen in cinemas like Kissi Se Na Kehna, Rakhwala, Hogi Pyar Ki Jeet, Kitne Door... Kitne Paas, Money Hai Toh Honey Hai, and Straight . Her forthcoming cinema is Rajpal Yadav starring Hello... Hum Lallan Bol Rahe Hain and Ajay Chandhok's Khallballi : Fun Unlimited.
