Kishan Kumar is an Indian actor and producer.

Kishan Kumar comes from a Punjabi Arora family. His father was a fruit juice seller, Chandrabhan. Kishan's brother is singer and founder of T-Series music label, Gulshan Kumar who was killed. His wife is Tanya and they have a daughter, Tishaa.

In 2000, the actor was kept under court custody as he was involved in match fixing scandals which were against the Foreign Exchange Regulation Acts.

Career

As an actor

Kishan could not make a successful career in Bollywood. He started his movie career in 1993 with Kasam Teri Kasam directed by Raman Kumar. He then appeared in Chetan Anand's Aja Meri Jaan (1993) opposite Tanya Singh. His third movie was Bewafa Sanam (1995) directed and produced by his brother Gulshan. Shilpa Shirodkar was cast opposite him in this movie.

He beside acted in a Malayalam movie, Vasanthiyum Lakshmiyum Pinne Njaanum (1999). Augustine, Indrans, Janardanan, and Kaveri starred with him in this movie. Papa the Great (2000) was his last movie as an actor where he played the lead role of a father opposite actress Nagma.

As a producer

After trying out his luck in acting he moved to production and produced a few movies, starting with Lucky (2005) along with co-producers Sohail Khan and Bhushan Kumar. This movie starred superstar Salman Khan and Mithun Chakraborty. Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, and Bipasha Basu's Humko Deewna Kar Gaye (2006) was beside produced by him. In 2007 he produced Ram Gopal Verma's Darling. Fardeen Khan and Esha Deol were cast in the lead roles.
