Meera Chopra Biography

Meera Chopra is an Indian film actress. She mainly acts in Telugu and Tamil movies. Meera was born on 8 July 1983 in Delhi. Down South, Meera is identified as 'Nila'.

Meera finished her graduation from Saginaw Valley State University in Michigan city, US. She was a student of Mass Communication, New York. The actress was working with a prominent national television channel, but left it because she was offered a raw deal.

Meera debuted in Tamil cinema with movie 'Anbe Aaruyire'. This film was directed and produced by S. J. Suryah. She starred in lead role in the film. It was S. J. Suryah, who brought her into movies and modified her name from Meera to Nila.

'Anbe Aaruyire', debut film of Meera, turned to be a big hit on box-office. Because of this film, Meera's talent was recognized in the industry and she became known name for the audience.

The dusky beauty acted in the other pictures like 'Bangaram', 'Jambhavan', 'Jaganmohini', 'Vaana', 'Lee', 'Maaro', 'Greeku Veerudu', 'Kaalai' (cameo) and one Kannada film 'Arjun'. Meera's acting skills in the movie 'Vaana' were much praised. This film was produced by M.S. Raju, an eminent producer. She was last seen in movie 'Maaro'.

Being originally from modeling field, Meera ventured into fashion world by taking a break from her film career.
