Sajid Khan Biography

Sajid Khan is one of the most successful directors of commercial movies in India. He is an Actor, writer, host. He is the younger brother of Farah Khan. The two are the kids of Menaka Irani, sister of Honey Irani and Daisy Irani. Farhan and Zoya Akhtar are his maternal cousins. Sajid was born on 23 November 1971.

A big movie buff since childhood Sajid was interested in making a career in film industry. His father died when he was too young. Sajid was a very good dancer and performer in his college days in Mumbai. He was excellent in Robot dance. His sister Farah entered the industry at a young age as a dance director. When Sajid grew up he was offered a movie 'Jhoot Bole Kauwa Kate' from his favorite director, 'the king of light' hearted comedy movies Hrishikesh Mukherjee. The film flopped and Sajid's filmy acting career thrashed there and then. Thereafter, Sajid Khan started hosting and acting on television. He also made some comic shows. Sajid featured in the song 'Gori Gori' from Farah Khan's directorial debut 'Main Hoon Na'. Sajid was also trying his hands in direction. He wrote a story and directed one in 'Darna Zaroori hai'. His first full fledged direction was 'Heyy Babyy' which got huge commercial success. Then he came up with 'Housefull ' and 'Housefull 2 '. All his movies literally went Housefull. Sajid hosted the famous talk show Sajid's Superstar. He also sung in the song 'Mast Kalandar' in 'Heyy babyy'. He has also worked as a presenter in many award ceremonies. The director is currently judging Nach Baliye 5, a dance reality show. Sajid Khan is currently dating Actress Jacqueline Fernandez. His next directorial is 'Himmatwala' a remake of 1983 movie with same name which he saw 30 times in theatre. 'Himmatwala' is set to be released on 29 March. It stares Ajay Devgn in lead. He will also be directing 'Judwaa 2' and 'Housefull 3'.
