Shruti Haasan Biography

Shruti Rajalakshmi Haasan, born on 28th January 1986 in Chennai to noted actors like Kamal Haasan and Sarika. Shruti is an Indian actress, who works in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi movies. Having delicate features, it's just impossible to express her looks in a single word. Shruti is having a younger sister named as Akshara. Akshara Haasan is an Indian global representator for Ballroom Latin dancing. Shruti has done her initial education from Chennai and afterwards moved to city of dreams, Mumbai for studying Psychology. She has been a student of St. Andrew's college in Mumbai. Eventually, Shruti concentrated on music and cinema and flew to USA in persistence of learning music. Early in her career, rhinoplasty was performed for changing her nose appearance. Sky was the limit for dreams of Shruti.

Having a penchant for singing Kamal Haasan's angel sang for the very first time when she was six years old. It was Ilaiyaraaja composition. She also lent her voice in her father's film 'Chachi 420' in a duet with Kamal Haasan called 'Jaago Gori...'. The versatile actress sang Hindi and Tamil versions of title song of 'Hey Ram' with Kamal Haasan. 'Rama Rama...' is how the song goes. Versatile Shruti won accolades for this Ilaiyaraaja composition.

A veteral singer, K. J. Yesudas was the one with whom the actress got a chance to sing with for a movie named as 'En Mana Vaanil' (2002) and music was given by Ilaiyaraaja. Under Harris Jayaraj composition, Shruti sang for 'Vaarnam Aayiram', a Tamil flick. Shruti also recorded a song called 'Aazma Luck Aazma...' for her movie 'Luck'. The actress had collaboration with Dave Kushner in 2010 for the movie 'Hisss'. The lyrics were written by Shruti, while the track was composed by Whilst Kushner. Shruti was seen in the movie's promotional video.

Not to forget the recent very famous music album 'Why This Kolaveri Di?' The beautiful lady also feaured in this album by Dhanush.

When it comes to acting and modeling, the actress does not lag behind. This damsel featured in Verse and Frappe! Magazine in 2007. The immensely talented haasan debuted in Hindi cinema in the Hindi and Tamil bilingual film directed by her father titled 'Hey Ram', performing a cameo.

Shruti's next movie was 'Luck', Imran Khan being her co-star. Though the movie managed to garner good publicity prior to its release, the film's luck was poor at the box-office. Her journey in Telugu films began with the movie titled 'Anaganaga O Dheerudu' in 2011. Directed by Prakash Kovelamudi, this flick was co-production of Walt Disney Pictures. The film could not manage to achieve much commercial success. The gorgeous actress also acted in a Hindi flick named as 'Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Ji' in the role of Nikki Narang. The year 2011 saw Shruti starring in Tamil movie called '7aum Arivu' and a Telugu film titled 'Oh My Friend'. 'Gabbar Singh' was her next Telugu flick in 2012, reportedly a Telugu version of Dabangg.

The young lady has peformed a voice over for TeachAIDS (NGO). They have developed an E-learning software tutorial. An alternative rock band 'The Extramentals' has Shruti as its vocalist.

Nowadays, the multi-talented actress is busy working on her Telugu projects like 'Balupu' and 'Yevadu' along with the Hindi flicks like 'Ramaiya Vastavaiya' and 'Kismat Konnection 2'.
