Shweta Tiwari Biography

She is a very familiar and favorite face of Indian small screen. Shweta Tiwari is an Indian television and film actress. She was born on 4th October, 1980 to Mr. Ashok Tiwari and Nirmala Tiwari in Uttar Pradesh. The actress is having a younger brother named Nidhaan. Shweta was raised in Mumbai and she was a student of St. Isabel Girls School in Mumbai. She completed her graduation from Burhani College in Mumbai.

Shweta rose to fame since she performed the role of Prerna in popular TV serial by Balaji Telefilms Ltd, 'Kasautii Zindagii Kay', which used to air on Star Plus. The serial was going on for almost consecutive eight years. The actress debuted in the career of acting with the serial 'Kaleerein' in 1999. The beauty was a part of numerous television serials, reality shows, commercials, cameos and plays. Some more TV serials in which Shweta acted in are 'Aane Wala Pal', 'Kaahin Kissii Roz', 'Karam', 'Kya Hadsaa Kya Haqeeqat', 'Daddy Samjha Karo', 'Rishtey', 'Naaginn', 'Jaane Kya Baat Hui', 'Yatra', 'Sajan Re Jhoot Mat Bolo', and 'Ajeeb'.

This queen of small screen judged dance reality shows on Star Plus called 'Aajaa Mahi Vay' and one of the Bhojpuri dance reality show titled 'Dance Sangram'. Shweta Tiwari won the 4th season of popular television reality show 'Bigg Boss' on Colors TV, giving tough fight in the finals to the other contestants like The Great Khali, Ashmit Patel and Dolly Bindra. Shweta became the very first female participant to win this show and she achieved cash prize worth Rs. 1 crore. The other television reality shows in which Shweta Tiwari was seen include 'Dhamaal Express', 'Jalwa 4 2 Ka 1', 'Jjhoom India', 'Comedy Circus 3 Ka Tadka', 'Comedy Circus - Chinchpokli To China', 'Jubilee Comedy Circus', 'Comedy Circus Ke Taansen', 'Comedy Circus Ka Naya Daur', 'Rangoli' and currently being performing in 'Comedy Circus Ke Ajoobe'.

Shweta surprised the viewers of small screen by doing cameo in serials, such as 'Khulja Sim Sim', 'Kisme Kitna Hai Dum', 'Jodi Kamaal Ki', 'Seeta Aur Geeta', 'Khichdi', 'Sapna Babul Ka...Bidaai', 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai', 'Sanjog Se Bani Sangini', 'Yahan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli' and 'Bogg Boss' (Season 6).

The lady with striking looks appeared in various Hindi and Bhojpuri films. In Hindi movies, such as 'Madhoshi' (2004), 'Benny and Babloo' (2010), Married 2 America' (2012) and 'Aabra Ka Daabra' (2004), Shweta was seen doing supporting roles. In the 2011's film, 'Bin Bulaye Baraati', the startling actress performed an item number. Shweta also did an item number in a Marathi film titled 'Yedyanchi Jatra' in 2012. Shweta Tiwari appeared with her ex-husband Raja Chaudhary in a Bhojpuri flick titled, 'Hamar Sayian Hindustani'. Another Bhojpuri films done by the actress are 'Kab Aibu Anganwa Hamar' and 'Ae Bhauji Ke Sister'. She was a part of a Nepali film called as 'Trinetra' in 2010. Her sole Urdu film was 'Saltanat' in 2012.

Currently, the actress is having two serials in her hand - 'Parvarrish - Kuchh Khattee Kuchh Meethi' aired on Sony TV and 'Ek Thhi Naayka' on Life OK channel.
