Tinu Anand a.k.a Virender Raj Anand is one of the respectable elderly actors in the Hindi film industry. Besides acting, Tinu Anand has directed several hit Hindi films. He is also known as Amitabh Bachchan's director as he directed some of the hit films of Amitabh Bachchan as 'Shahenshah','Kaalia','Main Azaad Hoon','Major Saab' etc. His father Inder Raj Anand was a famous writer. Tinu Anand is the uncle of today's young director Siddharth Raj Anand. Tinu Anand had a keen interest in acting. His first memorable role was in the film 'Pushpak'. It was the silent film. Later he marked his presence in more than 125 Hindi films.

Some of his noteworthy films are 'Pushpak', 'Agneepath' ,'Ajooba', 'Damini', 'Khiladi', 'Bombay' ,'Masoom', 'Ghatak', 'Saathiya' ,'Bluffmaster', 'Krantiveer' ,'China Gate' ,'Laaga Chunari Mein Daag' ,'De Dana Dan' ,'Ghajini' ,'Tere naal love Ho Gaya' ,'Hadh kar di aapne'and 'Dabangg 2'.

He will be next seen in the film 'Rabba Main Kya Karoon'.
