Uday Chopra Biography

A jack of all trades, master of none! That's what we can see about this Chopra's youngest lad - Uday Chopra. He was born on 5th January 1973 in Mumbai. He is a son of late film maestro Yash Chopra a younger brother of famous filmmaker Aditya Chopra. He has grown up in a fully filmy environment, so he has experience of doing everything on the sets. Uday has done screenplay writing, dialogue writing, he was an associate producer as well. Uday was an assistant director for the films like 'Parampara' ,'Darr' ,'Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge' and 'Dil To Pagal Hai'. He was an associate producer for 'Yeh Dillagi' as well.

Uday marked his acting debut with the film 'Mohabbatein' in 2000. The film was made under his home productions. He was paired opposite Shamita Shetty. The film was a hit and Uday's role was well received. Later, he was seen in 'Mujhse Dosti Karoge' , 'Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai', and 'Supari'. All these films could not do well at the box office.

Uday was also seen in 'Dhoom' series. He has appeared in both 'Dhoom' in 2004 and 'Dhoom 2' in 2006. These films were multi starers and were box office hits. He was also seen in 'Charas' in 2004, 'Neal N Nikki' in 2005 and in 'Pyaar Impossible!' . All these films failed to make it at the box office. Uday will be next seen in 'Dhoom 3'.

It was earlier reported as Uday was focusing on film direction and has taken a break from acting to learn film making. Uday is currently learning film making at UCLA in Los Angeles.
