Vijay Raaz has been a part of the film scene since 1999, often taking on roles that are low profile and is remembered best for his role as the marigold eating Dubeyji in Monsoon Wedding.

Vijay Raaz's Films

Vijay Raaz took on the role of Badru in Mahesh Mathai's Bhopal Express (1999) about the Bhopal gas tragedy. He had a part in Ram Gopal Verma's Jungle (2000) and was seen as Yeda Yakub in the Amitabh Bacchan starrer Aks (2001).He made quite an impact as PK Dubey, a wedding contractor, who falls in love with the maid Alice in Mira Nair's Monsoon Wedding (2001). Ram Gopal Verma's Company (2002) saw him as Koda Singh.

After playing small parts in films like Chura Liya Hai Tumne (2003), Bhoot (2003) and Yuva (2004), Raaz played the lead in Rajat Kapoor's Raghu Romeo (2004). The film won the Silver Lotus Award for Best Regional Film (Hindi). The same year he acted in Mahesh Dattani's Morning Raga (2004) as Mr.Shastri, which received positive reviews.

Raaz went to act in Fool and Final (2006), Welcome (2007) and will soon be seen in Rakyesh Omprakash Mehra's Delhi 6 (2009) and The Flag (2009).
