Ed Sheeran, the international music sensation, recently addressed a highly intimate portion of his life in a recent interview, putting light on the enigmatic chapel and cemetery that had been the subject of media conjecture.
The Grammy-winning musician, known for his popular songs and deep lyrics, revealed the touching story behind the creation of his chapel and tomb on his Suffolk farm in East Anglia.
The musician then revealed the project's emotional motivation. Ed noted that many of his dear friends who died chose cremation, leaving him without a physical place to mourn and pay his respects. The chapel was built in response to his deep desire for a place to commemorate and honour his loved ones.

Sheeran's affinity to the church is much stronger because he stated a desire to be buried there when the time comes. He explains, “It's a hole that's dug in the ground with a bit of stone over it, so whenever the day comes and I pass away, I get to go in there. People think it's really weird and really morbid, but I've had friends die without wills, and no one knows what to do."
