She first stepped out with a brown version of the headpiece, which she wore with a brown leather jacket, matching miniskirt, and slouchy white boots. Her ensemble was the pinnacle of Gen Z fall fashion for 2023.
She then stopped by BBC Radio 2 dressed in a different neutral attire. Her next style featured a white tank top with linen slacks, wedge shoes, tortoise-shell sunglasses, a gold necklace, a Louis Vuitton box purse, and, of course, a white elastic headband.
Brown, as many TikTok users have pointed out, is one of several Gen Zers who have embraced the headband craze this year. Some stylists have dubbed the elastic pieces the "accessory of the season" for the fall season, while millennials have playfully congratulated the younger generation for making such an easy-to-wear accessory cool again.
Stretchy headbands, particularly those in black colours, have a long history dating back to the 1950s, according to Dazed writer Kristen Bateman.
She noted that after being popularized by celebrities like as Brigitte Bardot, the accoutrements became silent status symbols in the 1980s when they became associated with "elite gym culture."
According to Bateman, the headbands' surprising link with luxury has evolved and remained since then. Fashion icons such as Brown, Bella Hadid, and Sofia Richie have worn them, while designers such as Schiaparelli have introduced them on the runway.
