Accident On Hill Road is a Thriller produced by Magna Films (Producer: Nari Hira) & directed by Mahesh Nair. It is also the debut film of the director Mahesh Nair. Farooq Sheikh, Celina Jaitly, Abhimanyu Shekhar Singh etc are some casts which needs to be mentioned.

Regarding the film nothing more needs to be told which won't give you headache. I don't know why the debutant director chose to make this film. Even though he based on the Hollywood film STUCK, which was hit there, this film is going to fall flat on the box office.

As the title suggests, this film is based on an accident, which takes place on Hill Road (It is a famous place in Bandra, Mumbai). The whole story revolves around the accident in such a manner that you would surely get a headache.

The only glamour of the film is Sonam (Celina Jetly), the so called heroine of the film who is a stupid woman and what she does with the accident victim portrays her image as a cruel woman. So you can't even call her a heroine.

The story goes somewhat like this:

Sonam Chopra (Celina Jaitley) works as a nurse at an old age home. She is due to go to London for a job she has landed with the Red Cross Society. She has got a call for her visa interview after two days and life couldn't be more exciting for her. But things for her go terribly wrong when after a binge drinking night party, she knocks down a man, Prakash Srivastav (Farooque Shaikh), while driving her car. Unfortunately, Prakash gets stuck in the windshield of her car with half of his body inside and half outside the car. Fearing that she'd never get her visa if the matter came to the knowledge of the police, she does all under her control to keep this accident a secret. Prakash languishes, badly injured and half-in-half-out, in her garage where she has parked the car. She calls her boyfriend, Sid (Abhimanyu Singh), to help her but he goes away after spending the night in bed with her instead. The next morning, she is shocked to learn that the accident victim is still alive. Prakash pleads with her to extricate his body and let him go and even promises not to complain against her to the police. When Sonam gets more frustrated, she even tries to kill him but Prakash still lives seriously injured. It is then when Sonam requests Sid to help her to eliminate Prakash so that she gets her visa. She whacks him with a cricket bat. She has him tied up, and more or less choked in a plastic bag. She even douses him with petrol.

But destiny has something else in store for the all of three!

The question arises: what kind of nurse is she? Despite knowing the fact that the accident victim was alive and could be saved, she wanted to kill him. Just for simple reason! The victim pleads for his life but she becomes so cruel towards him. Any kind hearted woman would never do that! And what kind of boyfriend she has who instead of helping her out spends whole night with her in bed and leaves in the morning without solving his girlfriend's problem?

So many cruel characters are present in this film. You can't call them hero or Heroine!

The script is not good. Screenplay is even worse! The director may give you good films in future provided he selects good scripts.

Background score was not catchy as you expect in thrillers. You can find only song which was spicily hot.

Cinematography was average and editing not up to the mark. Costumes can be said to be good though in thrillers costumes doesn't matter much but the background matters a lot.

Art department was okay!

Performance wise Farooque Sheikh is good but most of his footage is spent stuck in car's windshield. This was like a comeback film for Farooque Sheikh but then he barely had the scope to show his mettle. Abhimanyu was average in acting skills but instead of hero act he was doing villain's act.

Of course credit goes to Celina who has put in lot of efforts to infuse life into the character and the story. She has done excellent job. But her job is not going to pull masses.

The others didn't have much to offer.

Regarding the pace of the film, first half looks a bit appealing, but things falter just before interval. Second half takes a completely different route and this leads to a lot of impatience to the viewers. The semi climax was terrible and even worse was the climax.

It is a mere wastage of time and money to watch this film. However, if you have enough time and money to spend on such things, than you can go to watch this film. But you should also carry some headache pills in your pocket. You may need them!
