AZAB GAZABB LOVE Review : A Love Story Which Can Be Watched With Family Only Once.

AZAB GAZABB LOVE has been directed by Sanjay Gadhvi who has directed DHOOM & DHOOM 2 in the past. Both films were action films but this film is totally a love story.

Story : It is a love story with different treatment. It is not the love story of a rich and a poor but in this story both (the girl & boy) are rich but they have to hide their richness and pretend to be poor.

Rajveer (Jackky Bhagnani) is the son of millionaire (Darshan Jariwala). He falls in love with a social science student girl Madhuri (Nidhi Subbaiah) but later he discovers that she almost hated rich people and had great sympathy & love for the poor. In fact she liked poor people and always fought for their rights. Discovering this, he too pretends to be a poor boy. He tells a lie to her and one lie compels him to tell another lie.

Madhuri gets impressed with him and too starts loving him. Now she wants to meet his family. Rajveer doesn't know what to do. Finally he presents his family as poor in front of her.

Soon it is revealed that Madhuri belonged to a rich family and Arjun and Karan (Arjun Rampal as Twins) were her elder brothers. When they come to know about Rajveer, they want to find out the reality about him.

How long Rajveer would keep it secret that he was a rich guy? Would Madhuri's brothers find out the truth about Rajveer? What would happen when Madhuri would come to know that her lover had lied to her and he was a millionaire?

All such queries are answered in the remaining part of the film.

Performance : Jackky Bhagnani's performance is not so impressive; he is just okay. He needs to sharpen his acting skills. Performance wise Nidhi is good but look wise she is average. Kirron Kher in the role of Rajveer's mother is excellent. She has done very well. Her timing is great. Darshan Jariwala is also excellent. He had to perform the character of a millionaire and of a hawker and he has justified both the roles. Arshad Warsi in a short role impresses you through his funny acting. Arjun Rampal in the roles of twin brothers of Nidhi has also performed very well.

Script : This film is the remake of Telgu film SEEMA TAPAKAI so the writers had to do little job in writing its Hindi version. However, some liberty is taken from the original and some scenes appear to be forced and inserted deliberately. The writers have written everything according to their convenience yet the film looks good. There are some scenes which do not make you laugh, but at least they make you smile. There are some emotional and touching scenes as well.

Music : Its music by Sajid-Wajid is average. 'Tu Hi' by Mohit Chauhan and 'Boom Boom' of Mika is good, yet only 'Boom Boom' seems to be promoted. Other songs are not so impressive.

Choreography : Bosco-Caesar has choreographed its songs. The steps of 'Tu Hi' song appear to be far better than 'Boom Boom' song. In 'Boom Boom' song dance steps appear to be less and exercise and PT steps appear to be more.

Cinematography : The DOP Chirantan Das has done good job. Lighting is good and most of the shots are captured in a well manner.

Direction : Direction is good. It is clear that the director has taken cinematic liberty due to which some sequences appear to be illogical to some audience. The director has showed what he wanted and not what the script demanded. The director failed to explain why Madhuri hated rich people. He also concluded the film in haste. He could have given some more footage in the last.

Plus Points : Clean Film; Climax; Strong Message about Charity; 'Boom Boom' and 'Tu' Songs; Extraordinary Performances of Kirron Kher & Darshan Jariwala;

Minus Points : Jackky Bhagnani's performance; Songs Not Placed Well; Last Song doesn't appear to be connected with the film.

Conclusion : Even though you may feel that the director is showing you what is convenient for him, you will not feel cheated and you will be entertained. Even though the director has not explained why Madhuri hated rich people and loved poor, it sends good message to the society. These days most of the girls look for rich men only and they don't care the characters of the rich people. This film shows that all girls are not like that.

Box Office Predictions : It may give tough competition to Karan Johar's 'Student Of The Year.' It should do better business than any other film released recently such as 'Rush' etc.

Verdict : If you are looking for a clean film (with no vulgarity & no double meaning dialogues) you should go for it! This is a film which you can watch with your family.

This film released on 24th October, 2012.
