ALLAH KE BANDE is a Hindi feature film directed by Faruk Kabir. This film is the director's debut film and he as also acted in this film. The film stars Shraman Joshi, Naseeruddin Shah, Sarim Momin, Atul Kulkarni, Anjana Sukhani etc.

ALLAH KE BANDE is the story of two children who live in slums and due to compulsion they have chosen the path of crime. But when they are jailed they do not reform but turn to be dreadful criminals.

Vijay (Sharman Joshi) and Yakub (Faruk Kabir) are 2 boys who live in the slums of Mumbai. They want to do something big in criminal world. But things change when they are arrested for the crime which they did not commit and they are sent to the prison of juvenile. Others prove that they had committed the crime. The warden of the jail is Naseeruddin Shah, in which they are sent. There Naseeruddin Shah tortures them severely. However the boys manage to get him removed from their prison. The boys make plan to get into crime world after getting out of the jail and rule the world or crime world of Mumbai. They are released from the jail after 11 years.

When they come out of jail, they start taking revenge from others or who they thought responsible for their jail days. Eventually they turn into dreadful criminals and eliminate their detractors.

Such films don't need or don't contain good songs or music. Hence good music is missing from the film.

Shraman Joshi has played comedian characters in some of his past films; some of which can be mentioned as GOLMAAL and 3 IDIOTS.  But in this film he has played the role of a gangster. Though he has tried to act well, he doesn't look like a gangster. However the director, Faruk Kabir fits into the character of a gangster but fails in his main job: The Direction.

Naseeruddin Shah didn't get much footage in the film though posters of the film and promos indicate that he might be the central character in the film. However Naseeruddin has done his job brilliantly.

The film mostly shows slum people, children, criminals and their act which you might have seen many times. CHANDNI BAAR of Madhur Bhandkarkar also showed slums and what happened with two boys in jail which was far better than what is shown in this film.

This film is neither meant for girls, women of any age nor for children. Also people who want to watch entertaining films would not like it. The director tried to make a good film but succeeded only partially. May be he may do better next time with good content for masses.

If you like serious films on slums and crime go for it otherwise wait for its DVD or satellite release.
