Apartment is a thriller directed by Jagmohan Mundra and presented by Magna Films and Produced by Nari Hira.

The story of the film is:

Tanushree Dutta lives in a flat with her boyfriend Rohit Roy. Anupam Kher too lives in that apartment who is a poet and struggles as a lyricist. On some matter Tanushree feels that her boyfriend was not faithful to her. So there is a fight between her and her boyfriend and eventually she kicks him out of her flat.

As time passes, she realizes that it was very difficult for her to afford the rent of the flat alone. She doesn't know what to do. One of her colleagues (airhostesses) suggests her to find a room-mate who could share her flat and rent. Tanushree likes this idea and gives advertisement in the newspapers for her room-mate.

Her advertisement works. After reading her advertisement, Neetu Chandra meets Tanushree Dutta and shows her desire to be her room-mate. Tanushree likes her attitude, loyalty and character and allows her to stay with her. Neetu impresses Tanushree with her behaviour. Soon they become good friends.

But then something start happening which is unexpected. Even murder takes place.

Who is behind all these things and why is rest of the film. What is the role of Anupam Kher? Is he what he appears or something else? What is Rohit Roy doing after being thrown out of that flat?

Tanushree Dutta looks very beautiful as usual in this film but she needs to get slimmer. Neetu Chandra has the capacity to capture your attention. Both have acted well.

Rohit Roy is very good in acting. Anupam Kher is superb in his role but wasted in insignificant role.

The direction of the film is good but the script is weak which may not give any benefit to this film in the terms of revenue.

The climax is very ridiculous; no body knows why an experienced film maker like Jagmohan Mundhra agreed to do it. However,  There is little bit relief due to comedy. The music is average but will not last.

If you have seen Barbet Schroeder's 1992 thriller Single White Female you may not like this film because it is based on that film and there is nothing new in this film except the casts.

Go for it only if you have extra time and money. Otherwise you may wait for its DVD release.
