Plot: Terror attack of 26/11 gives birth to an undercover operation Baby to uproot terrorism from India. Initially it starts with the team of 12 secret agents, however only four survive till the last mission.

The story starts in Istanbul where an undercover agent named Rakesh is brutally murdered by a group of terrorists, after his Indian companion Jamal cheats on him. However, this blood game turns upside down after a dare-devil officer Ajay (Akshay Kumar) seizes Jamal and grasps vital information from him that Maulana Mohammed Rehman (Rasheed Naz) from Pakistan is planning for a big terror attack in India.

This short yet significant note sets the 'Baby' team in action to crack Maulana's evil plan, before it creates turmoil on Indian soil.

Direction and other technical aspects: Director Neeraj Pandey is the hero of this film, who has excellently presented the fictionalized plot adapted from some real-life incidences. His style of story-telling is unique in its own ways, which keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout the film.

Dialogues like "Iss saal bahut saari Diwali hai. Kab tak rok sakoge?", "Main religion category mein Indian likhta hoon, Capital mein!" and many more, actually received the applause. This act declares that 'Baby' is out an out blockbuster hit right on its first day, first show. Plus, the cinematography by Sudeep Chatterjee speaks the volumes through the visuals.

Performances: Neeraj Pandey has extracted finest performances from the spectacular cast of 'Baby'. To start with the lead actor Akshay Kumar- he rightly fits into the role an undercover agent Ajay, delivering some smash-stick action sequences.

Danny Denzongpa has precisely narrated the last mission of team 'Baby' in the film, thereby also adorning the role of head of the intelligence bureau Feroze.

Taapsee Pannu in the role of an undercover agent Priya Suryavanshi comes across as a powerful woman who handles the male dominance with an ease. This lady with the cute face surprises the audience with her raw stunts.

Rana Daggubati is the "Hulk" of the team. Like always, he hasn't talked much but his personality has drawn a niche for him.

Anupam Kher is at his best in the quirky role of Shuklaji.

Pakistani actor Rasheed Naz possesses the power to earn your hatred with his villainy role of Maulana. His provocative speeches, his mystic face and his overall persona have made his act brilliant!

Kay Kay Menon is back with his zeal in the role of Bilal. His grey eyes provide the glimpse of haunting terror cuddling in his mind.

Music: Being the action-thriller film, 'Baby' has a limited scope in the music department. Yet, the striking background score holds enough of potential to get your pulse on high. The song "Mein Tujhse Pyaar Nahin Karti" used in the film goes down well with the flow. And "Beparawah" sung by Meet Bros Anjjan and Apeksha Dandekar, rolls down the end credits.

Final Verdict: 'Baby' is the must watch film on this long Republic weekend. Right from the start, you won't dare to miss even a single frame that's the power of Neeraj Pandey's 'Baby'.
