BHEJA FRY 2 is a Hindi movie that released on 17th June 2011. It is a sequel of the comedy film BHEJA FRY which had released four years ago.Four years back when Sagar Bellary had made BHEJA FRY he had never expected that his film would be such a big success. The film was made in a very limited budget which earned revenues more than high budget films. This inspired him to make the sequel of the film BHEJA FRY. But you will not find Rajat in this film whose contribution was a lot in earlier film's success. Rumors were rife that Rajat was not in favour of making the sequel of BHEJA FRY so he did not work in this film but the maker of the film BHEJA FRY 2 says that due to date problems he could not rope in Rajat.

Sagar Bellary met one producer Mukul Deora last year who was planning to make a light comedy film in a very limited budget. Saagar Bellary narrated him the script of BHEJA FRY 2 and the producer Mukul Deora got impressed with the script and gave green signal to go ahead with the making of the sequel of Bheja Fry.

Four years ago when BHEJA FRY had released, the film was not getting any theaters but the same was not the case this time. This time distribution companies got nearly 100 theaters easily because of the success of its previous film.

Story : If you have watched earlier film BHEJA FRY you would remember that Vinay Pathak played the role of a staff of income tax department who was fond of singing. In this film he is an Honest Income Tax inspector who is still fond of singing that is his singing passion is still intact. Whenever Bharat Bhushan gets any chance he launches his singing tune quickly. Bharat Bhushan's age old dream of making album has still not come true.

This time Bharat Bhushan gets an opportunity to participate in a reality TV show titled as 'Aao Guess Karein'. Bharat gets destined to become the show's first winner and he gets a prize of Rs 25 lakhs in the form of cheque and he also gets the chance to spend two nights and three days on a cruise.

On this cruise Bharat meets Ajit Talwar (K.K.Menon) who is a flirt and womanizer, a profligate who runs many small and big companies, mostly in bogus names to dodge income tax department. He is also going to sponsor this reality TV show next year in next season. In fact Ajit Talwar, by running many bogus companies, was causing a big loss to income tax department. Ajit had got news that sooner or later many of his offices would be raided by income tax department so to escape any procedures Ajit Talwar took shelter in this cruise and he is making a journey on this cruise and also holding meetings with his friends and investors.

On the other hand there is another Income Tax Officer named as M.T Shekharan (Suresh Menon) who is on the hunt of Ajit Talwar. On this cruise Bharat Bhushan comes to know from Rajani {(Minissha Lamba) (who was the executive producer of the show)} about Ajit Talwar's business and he also comes to know that he had significant impact in many companies. Bharat, on discovering the fact that Ajit Talwar was a rich and influential businessman, wants to impress him and seek his help in fulfilling his dream. Bharat believes that Ajit can get his album released with the power of his influence.Thereafter Bharat seeks opportunity to impress Ajit Talwar and makes arrangement so that Ajit could get his album released.

Meanwhile Ajit Talwar comes to know from some sources that one income tax inspector was also travelling on that cruise. This disturbs Ajit Talwar a lot and he thinks that the income tax officer must be in disguise and following him on the cruise to capture him.

Thereafter the story takes a turn and soon they reach on an island.

What happens there and on the way make the rest of the film.

Performance : The acting of Vinay Pathak is nearly same as his previous Bheja Fry. Despite that he impresses you a lot in this character. K.K.Menon too has justified his role to full extent. Suresh Menon is average as an inspector is average.

Music : There are hardly any songs in the film which you would remember after getting out of the theater.

Direction : If you compare Sagar Ballery's previous BHEJA FRY, the direction in this film seems to be a bit weak. Previous film had a pace; a momentum but in this film many aspects have got scattered and lose focus and speed. In some places there are only a few characters which make the film weak.

However the chemistry between Vinay Pathak and K.K.Menon seemed to be good. This time the director has shot some scenes in foreign locations too which was missing in previous film.

Plus Point: The film is a clean comedy film which will surely make you smile and laugh at many places. In today's life people lead a very stressful life. In this condition if you get any opportunity to smile and laugh you should grab the opportunity.

Minus Point: Melodious songs are missing which could be a minus point of the film and also there are some points which have no logic such as why an income tax inspector would try again and again to go and take participation in reality TV show of that kind.

Conclusion : Many people try to make comedy film but only a few succeed. Sagar Bellary has once again succeeded in making a comedy film (though not as funny as previous film). This film should earn revenues because of its content.

Verdict : Go for it if you want to smile and laugh for sometime.
