Rating: 1/5

One Line Review: A 135 minute entertainment which never attempts to claim it a horror.

Positive Points: Creepy locations and good sound effects is surely a plus.

Negative Points: VFX and CGI were too inferior which should have been the selling point of this horror flick.

Plot: The Film is about this folklore that Brahmarakshas that are half-men, half-animal creatures, exist in Indian jungles that have not been able to find salvation as it has been cursed by Lord Bhrama. Mumbai's land mafia kingpins pressurises Ahaana's father to commit suicide. So Ahaana relocates from Mumbai to Himachal.

In the outskirts of Himachal Pradesh, there is a forest lodge surrounded by lush greenery. Aahna (Bipasha Basu), a multi-tasker handles tasks both at the reception and the kitchen with ease to make the guests enter into the beautiful location. And due to atmospheric and mythological sporadicity, evolves a cursed Brahmarakshas onto the prowl who knocks down guests one after the other. The Police do not believe in ghost stories and puts the blame of the attacks on wild animals for the lives lost. Everybody starts getting panicked because people are getting killed consistently until Professor Sadana (Mukul Dev) comes into the plot. There's a suspicious guy Kunal (Imran Abbas) whose sole intention in life is to drive an open jeep. Slowly, the people in the movie starts getting killed by the predator but the individuals who could possibly help her finish the creature does not provide her an helping hand. This infuriates Aahna and she decides to tackle this menace by herself.

But, will Aahana be able to kill the creature and will she be able to save herself from getting killed by the creature forms the rest of the story.

Music: There is a romantic track between Imran Abbas (Kunal Malhotra) and Bipasha (Ahaana) called "Saawan Aaya Hai" which is an average song sung by Arijit Singh. The songs "Hum Naa Rahein Hum" sung by Benny Dayal was not just pleasing to hear. "Naam-E- Wafa" sung by Farhaan Saeed and Tulsi Kumar, "Ik Pal Yaha" sung by Salim Bhatt, "Mehboob Ki" sung by Mithoon in all can neither called a true melody nor can be called a peppy in either case.

Performance: Imran Abbas throughout the movie carries a moist -eyed face. Mukul Dev delivers nothing worth praising. Neither does Deepraj Rana deliver a good watchable performance. Bipasha Basu looks charming and she does her bit with great determination.

Direction and other Techniques: The movie's sound effects are good keeping aside the sound of the creature and the creature's appearance which can be described as an amalgamation of Spiderman's face and an animated Dinotopia which is an animated dinosaur movie. Production designed by Jayant Deshmukh was commendable while the cinematography given by Praveen Bhatt was par average. Editing by Kuldeep Mehan was not fine because the cuts and the stretches maintained a disturbing imbalance. The screenplay in the movie was too uneven with too many flaws. Direction by Vikram Bhatt was an utter blunder.

Verdict: Creature 3D can be skipped if you expect top notch VFX and CGI because this movie has not delivered by its promises.
