CROOK is a Hindi film produced under the banner of Vishesh Films and it is produced by Mukesh Bhatt. It is directed by Mohit Suri and its casts are Imraan Hashmi, Neha Sharma, Arjan Bajwa, Gulshan Grover, Shela Elen etc.
The story of the film is such:
Jai (Imraan Hashmi) is the protagonist of the film. He gets into problems almost all the times for various reasons. It seems that he is surrounded by troubles. His daddy who was a gangster himself was exhausted of living in the style he did till present date. He wished to transform himself. He wished to change the ways he was used to and coveted to live a life like any normal and respectful person. He seeks help from his friend Joseph who is an Inspector. The inspector guarantees to help so that he could lead a life as he wanted. Thus he finds a secure place for him and his son to live in. In return Jai's dad agrees to play a pawn and to help the police by giving them important information about their evil doing. Thus he betrays his bosses. His inspector friend had assured Jai's father a safe and secure life after his bosses were exposed and caught.

But fortune did not favour Jai's dad. He was double crossed by a senior inspector even despite he exposed and testified against his bosses.  Eventually, due to double cross by his colleagues, Joseph fails to save Jai's father life even though he puts all his brave efforts. Coincidently, Jai witnessed all this which puts a bad impression on his mind which makes him think that it was of no use to even try to be good and being bad only is good.

Josheph feels guilty of the result (Jai's father death). Eventually he thinks to adopt Jai and take his responsibilities. He attempts to implant in him Christian values and bring him closer to God but Jai is preoccupied by the past. Joseph doesn't succeed in making Jai believe in 'Good' i.e. to do Good. Joseph changes his identity from Jai to Suraj Bhardwaj.  When things start going out of his hands Josheph determines to send Jai to some other country so that he could forget his dark past. Thus Josheph decides to send Jai to Australia.

Jai assures Joseph that he would avoid getting into mess once he went to Australia. It was his 1st chance for Jai to see another aspect of his life. But the moment Jai lands in Australia he meets Suhani.
Suhani happens to be an Indian Australian who was unaware of the bad things of the world. She thought the world to be good where bad never existed. She belongs to the race of Punjabi family typically conventional and customary and took pleasure in the fact that they were Indians.
Suhani clandestinely, has entirely different outlook on life. She gets convinced that she did not want to suffer restricted by the already established traditions, superstition or orthodox behaviors and thoughts. Her elder brother Samarth too is confident that the Australians wanted nothing else than to bring Indians down. His thoughts were completely different from Suhani.

But trouble didn't leave Jai even after he went to another country like Australia. He witnesses the racial attack on Samarth. What happens further is the rest of the film.
The plot could have been well but the director had not justified the film and you can hardly bear to watch the film.
You will get confused what was in the director's mind. It seems all the people involved in making the film were confused. They were not clear what they were making: whether a love story or a film on racism. Only one topic could have done well but when they wanted to portray both the elements; the film reached no where.
Sometime back, Indians were attacked by Australians in Australia. Keeping this in mind the filmmakers have tried to make this film. It could have been a good film but the director failed to give the audience a good film.
Even the dialogues are not good. It inspires you to become bad person which is not good for the country.
Sometime back, a film was released titled as ONCE UPON A TIME. In that film even though sultan (Ajay Devgan) was a smuggler, he gave positive message to the society which is in the benefit of the nation but message given in the film CROOK is negative.
The screenplay writer Ankur Tiwari has also not done a good job. So only the director can't be blamed.
All the actors have done their jobs well and justified their roles.
Unnecessary kissing scenes are added to attract the audience but audiences are not fools who are going to spend their high earned money to watch kissing and bold scenes added unnecessarily.
Overall, CROOK is a boring film and is wastage of time and money if you watch this film in theaters.
