DIARY OF A BUTTERFLY is a Hindi feature film which released on 2nd March, 2012. This film has been produced under the banner of Bhaggyashri Production and Prince Movies and has been directed by Vinod Mukhi. This film falls in Adult (A) genre.

Story : Gul (Udita Goswami) lives in Jaipur and dreams of reaching the top. But she can't fulfill her dream in Jaipur so she decides to reach The City of Dreams-Mumbai. At the time of her departure, her mother Shobha (Rati Agnihotri) gives her a Diary and a Note. She suggests her that she should write her daily activities in her diary. That would prove to be very beneficial for her later on.

When Gul reaches Mumbai, she applies all tricks and unfair means to reach the peak. She uses other people as a ladder to her success. To reach to the peak, she can go to any extent. She becomes arrogant and jokes at the diary and the note which her mother had given to her; yet she writes her diary.

Ultimately, she achieves success. She wants to enjoy and celebrate her success but finds no one with her to celebrate her success. She realizes that she had hurt many people while climbing the ladder to success. Thus she decides to rectify her mistake for which she plans to read her Diary and see what mistakes she had done.

This is the reason why this film has been titled as DIARY OF A BUTTERFLY.

But something again happens which changes her mind and considers it foolishness to apologized others.

Acting : Udita Goswami has got a lot of footage and scope to explore her skin and flesh. So, nothing needs to be commented about her acting skills, when script demands skin exposure. However, she has done well in her hot and sexy scenes. Rati Agnihotri has got very less footage hence you don't expect much from her. She is okay. Others are so and so however another male protagonist Rajeev is below average.

Script : Though its message is very close to reality because most of the strugglers follow the same path to achieve success, it has been written poorly and written for adults. A lot of scenes have been created to expose Udita Goswami.

Direction : Vinod Mukhi has proved that he has good command over such films. He has explored Udita to great extent. He has inserted bathing scene and other erotic scenes to allure the audience.

Plus Points : Nothing except Hot scenes of Udita Goswami (for limited audiences)

Minus Points : Writing; Direction; Cast; Performance

Conclusion : This film would have failed completely at the box office due to its poor script and cast but due to hot scenes limited audience may go to watch this film. Hence nothing can be predicted about box office collections.

Verdict : This film shows the reality of some girls and strugglers how they use their body to reach the top but fails to narrate successfully. Fans of Udita would like this film due to her hot scenes. There is nothing else worth watching.
