DUM MAARO DUM is a Hindi feature film that released on 22nd April 2011. After a long time Abhishek Bachchan is seen in a different film. This film is directed by Rohan Sippy who happens to be all time friend of Abhishek Bachchan and who earlier made two more film with him such as KUCHH NA KAHO and BLUFFMASTER. This film is a thriller and made on the issue of drug dealers in Goa. This film is produced by Ramesh Sippy under the banner of Fox Star Studios, Rohan Sippy Productions, Louverture Films and Cheyenne Enterprises. This film is War against Drugs!

Story : The beauty of Goa attracts lakhs of tourists from other countries. But the beauty of this place is being spoilt by the drug mafias who are spreading the poison among new generation. To fight the drug mafias, the state minister hands over the ruthless responsibility to uproot drug dealers in the hands of ACP Vishnu Kamath Abhishek Bachchan). Vishnu Kamath is running from his past. His wife (Vidya Balan) and his son were lost in an accident. He takes up the job to uproot drug mafia at his own terms and conditions.

How he fights the drug mafia and how Bipasa Basu, Prateek Babbar, Aditya Pancholi are linked in this film make the rest of the film.

Performance : Bipasa Basu, who plays the role of Zoe as an air hostess, has performed as usual. Rana Daggubati is appreciated by all who had played the character of DJ Joki as a local musician. Aditya Pancholi has played the role of Biscuit who also is as usual.

Abhishek Bachchan has got something different to do in this film. Just like his father did in Zanjeer by playing the role of a cop, Abhishek too plays the role of a cop and fits into the role. He has performed far better than some of his previous films released recently. He has done brilliant job as a cop and he should avoid negative roles such as of RAAVAN.

Pratik Babbar too is too good in this film and has the potential to attain a great height if given good script.

Script : Story is written by Shridhar Raghvan who writes thriller well but here he appears a bit confused. Dialogues by Purva Naresh have hidden double meanings.

Music : Music by Pritam is okay. The title song is brilliant but the original music of this song was given by the great musician R.D.Burman so you decide who should get the credit of the song.

Plus Point: The title song filmed on Deepka Padukone is the plus point of the film and it would attract the masses. Perhaps this title song as item song was added after the success of Munni Badnaam and Sheela Ki Jawani item songs. Deepika Padukone looks extremely beautiful and hot in this song. Above all, this song has become very popular (visual) among young men.

Direction : Direction of the film is okay and drug issue had been dealt in well manner but you must have seen such films earlier so you may not find anything new in it. However, the director has allowed double meaning dialogues and has used too hot and sexy scenes which would prevent family audience. Yet this film would attract youth and adults (without family).

Verdict : This film is not fit for family and children. Well, as an adult you may go for it because it would entertain you. If you Abhishek Bachchan & Deepika Padukone's diehard fan, you must go for it.
