EK MAIN AUR EKK TU is a Hindi feature film which released on 10th February, 2012. It has been produced by Dharma Productions of Karan Johar & Hiroo Johar and UTV (of Ronnie Screwvala).

It falls under the genre of romance and light fun.

Story : This is the story of two strangers, a boy and a girl, how they meet, how they get married to each other in a unique situation and how they try to get away from each other. Part of its story revolves in Las Vegas and another part in Mumbai.

Rahul Kapoor (Imran Khan) is the son of a wealthy family who works in Las Vegas as an architect. A day comes when he loses his job. His character is different, not literally timid by something like that because he doesn't have the strength to break this news to his parents Boman Irani & Ratna Pathak. This is also because his parents are of dominating nature and they live in India. Another protagonist of this film is Riana Braganza (Kareena Kapoor) who too lives in Las Vegas. She works as a hair stylist. Her story regarding job is same as Rahul which means she too has lost her job. But her character is opposite to Rahul which means she is not afraid of her parents Nikhil Kapoor and Zenobia Shroff and tells them the truth and they don't over react because they are parents who understand their children. They too live in India.

Things take turn and Rahul and Riana happen to meet each other. They start spending time together and drink together which cause to develop friendship between them. In drinking state, they become the witness of marriage of a couple at night. Since in Las Vegas, marriage registration takes place even at night, Rahul and Riana end up in marrying each other in drinking state. When they get up next morning, they get shocked to know that at night they had got married to each other.

They want to rectify their mistake done in drunken state and go to the court to cancel their marriage. But the court gives them time to rethink and visit again after some days.

So what happens after that.. Do they get success in cancelling their marriage or they fall in love and continue their marriage? Such questions are answered in the remaining part of the film and they are seen visiting India too.

Acting : In the role of Rahul, Imraan has done fantastic job. He has become versatile actor. He looks lovable and acts very well. Kereena looks better than her previous films and has justified her role.

Boman Irani, Ratna etc. are as usual good.

Script : There are some loopholes in the film due to the script which becomes obvious after watching or while watching it. It appears that everything has been planned. Why Rahul runs into the car of his mother? The screenplay is a bit weak and loses its grip at many places but it is the star performances that allow you to keep watching.

Music : It is average.

Direction : Despite being the debut film of Shakun Batra, the film has been well made and direction is okay but lack of fantastic script, it doesn't appear to be that good.

Plus Point : Production Value, Cinematography, Imraan Khan

Conclusion : Since there is no other film except AGNEEPATH as competitor of this film, it should attract revenues above average or more. It may also get the benefit of Valentine Day. Whether it is gain or loss due to AGNEEPATH, both will be of Karan Johar because both the films are from his banner.

Verdict : It is a light film. It's not very good; not even bad. It is just an average film and if you have time, there is no problem in watching it but if you don't have time; you will miss nothing if you skip this film.
