Rating: 2.5/5

The cast of the movie includes stars like Mallika Sherawat who plays the 'ichaadari naagin'; Irrfan Khan plays a cops in the movie. The role of his wife is enacted by Divya Dutta. It also stars Jeff Douchette (A foreigner in search of a naagmani) and Raman Trikha (another cop). The movie is directed by Jennifer Chamber Lynch and produced by Vikram Singh, Govind Menon and Willian Keenan. The very much hyped special effects of the movie is done by Robert Kurtzman.

The movie begins in the Indus Valley Civilization with an American by the name of George States i.e. Jeff Douchette who is affected by brain cancer and for some reason believes that he will be totally cured if he is able to conquer a jewel from the female cobra, which is known as the naagmani!

To his fate, he even finds a snake and captures the male one whilst they were mating. As such he captures the snake when he was at his weakest. He does so thinking that he would force the female snake to give him the naagmani in order to save her love. But, how would she do it if she had no jewel? Anyways the female cobra then surfaces as a voluptuous woman with nothing else but vengeance and desperation to reach to her dear love and save him without much knowledge of the human world/ civilization out.

While moving towards her mission the snake even punishes men who behave cruelly with women and ill treats them. She kills all those in a very gruesome murder. All these mysterious murders leave the local police in a fix. They then begin their journey to reach the depth of the problem when they find that an American has an important role in all of these incidents. But by the time they realize it the female cobra has already reached the American and is once again totally engrossed in making love with her partner.

The movie consists of weird characters right from the dumb headed, maniac George, the American played by Jeff Douchette to a totally psyched mother –in – law of Divya Dutta. And even an extreme number of men who beat up their wives as though they were washing clothes. It is common knowledge by now that Mallika can't act (may be that's the main reason why she doesn't have much dialogues in the movie). Irrfan Khan who is always known for his performance also fails to deliver in this movie except for a few scenes where he shares screen space with his wife Divya Dutta.

The direction as well as the screenplay done by Jennifer Lynch doesn't seem to be quite good. It lacked a lot and in reality had absolutely nothing. The only factors used to pull masses into the cinema halls being the special effects and the 'xxx' scenes.

The scripting of the movie is equally bad. In fact it doesn't even give the audience an opportunity to believe in it! It is even portrayed in a manner of being as false as it could ever be. Even solving the most difficult puzzle on earth would have simpler than understanding the confusing plot of the movie.

The music is done by Anu Malik. The movie consists of bad songs (whatever little bit it has, has definitely failed to appeal to the masses). It does seem like it had nothing to tell hence absolutely no screenplay, no story at all!

The movie is set against the Malabar Coast scenery which is very badly portrayed and is very lousy. The movie has been shot in exotic locations like Chennai, Kerala and Mumbai at Madh Island and Filmistan studios but not at the best locations. At times, it's even nightmarish! It is particularly weird to watch a woman kissing and licking and making love to a reptile (which is probably dead). The movie contains nothing much than Mallika Sherawat and a number of sex scenes and- a special mention of her body suits which are quite capable of letting your imaginations run wild. You even have a passionate love making scene between Divya Dutta and Irrfan Khan besides the other insane ones.

The movie is a total waste. Even the so- called 'special effects' that it was hyped for also turns out to be ultimately pathetic. Thereby proving itself to be a major dampener! Nothing worth watching the movie for! The movie centres totally around Mallika and Mallika all over. Watch only if you are a die hard fan of Mallika!
