Housefull 2 Review

HOUSEFULL 2 is a Hindi feature film which released on 6th March, 2012. This film falls under the genre of comedy and is directed by Sajid Khan. It is also known as the sequel of HOUSEFULL. Sajid Khan is known as a comedy director, but his earlier film failed to entertain the audience. Let's see whether this film fails or succeeds in entertaining the audience.

Story : Randhir Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor are step brothers who do not like each other. So is the case with their daughters Asin and Jaquilene. Randhir Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor want their daughters to get married to the richest man in London.

Chunky Pandey, Boman Irani, Akshay Kumar, John Abraham play vital role and land up in the same house. Even Mithun Chakraborty play vital role.

What happens? What is the mess? How everyone tries to fool each other? What happens at the end? These are the queries answered in this film in comical way.

Acting : After a long time, you can see Akshay Kumar in a character, where he not loud and not so irritating but the film is surely irritating. So Akshay is not going to get the benefit. Randhir Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor are good but their characters do not suit them which may irritate intelligent audience. The characters of Asin and Jacqueline also do not suit; however they have done their job very well. John Abraham is average in this film. Shryes Talpade is so and so and is not used properly. Ritesh Deshmukh is good. Mithun Chakrobarty as JD is good. Boman Irani is above average because he is loud at many places and shouts a lot. Chunky Pandey is okay. Johny Lever is also good.

Script : The story is confusing and plot messy. The writers have tried to create humor, in which they have succeeded but for them who love to watch mindless comedy. Such gags appear to be good in parts but not as part of the film. Mr. Bean would make you laugh much more than these gags.

Music : Music by Sajid Wajid is excellent. In fact, music is the soul of this film and Anarkali and Papa Toh Band Bajaye have become super hit songs and you love to play them repeatedly. After a long time, Sajid & Wajid have delivered so nice music.

Direction : Sajid Khan is a director who is known for mimicry and his comedy films as a director. He did try to give you an entertaining film but in parts. His film entertains you in parts and rest part is boring and dragged.

Plus Points : Excellent Music; A Dozen of Big Stars

Minus Points : Weak Storyline, Mindless Comedy

Conclusion : Even though, this film is not completely entertaining, many people would go to watch it because there is no competition and people love to watch comedy. Also due to big star cast and huge promotion, this film would surely do good business. Above all, its super hit music will surely make it a big hit.

Verdict : This film is entertaining in parts. If you like watching mindless comedy, irritating comedy, you can go for it.
