MERE BROTHER KI DULHAN is a Hindi feature film produced by Yash Raj Films and is directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. This film released on 9th September, 2011.

Story : It is the story of two brothers Luv & Kush and a common girl between them for marriage. Kush (played by Imran Khan/Imraan Khan) lives in India in Mumbai working as an assistant director in Bollywood whereas his brother Luv works in London.

Both brothers are unmarried but Luv has been involved in many affairs which all ended as break-ups. Ultimately when he experiences break up with his current girlfriend, he finally decides to marry an Indian girl. For this reason, he talks to his brother on phone regarding his marriage. He tells that he wanted to get married before Christmas and for that he hands over the responsibility of finding a suitable girl (bride) for him.

Luv believes that, since from childhood, both of them had the same likings such as Madhuri Dixit so Kush would be successful in finding a bride of his likings.

This makes Kush to hunt a bride for his brother all over India. He travels in many parts of India in search of a suitable bride for Luv. Ultimately he finds a bride for his brother who is none other than Katrina Kaif.

But soon it is revealed that Kush had fallen in love with Katrina Kaif. This is the reason the film is titles as MERE BROTHER KI DULHAN which literally means the bride of my brother.

What happens later? What is the end of Kush's love story? Does he get his love? If yes what are the results? Such answers make rest of the film.

Performance : Imraan Khan is good in his role. He has performed well. Confusion can be clearly seen on his face in the scenes required. Katrina Kaif looks beautiful and has performed her part well. Ali Zafar is also excellent in his role. Other actors such as Kanwaljeet, Parikshit Shahani etc. are also okay in their roles.

Script : It is not a fresh script and it is weak at many places. Though the writer has tried to make some funny scenes they are not so funny.

Music : Music of the film is okay.

Direction : The debutant director Ali Abbas Zafar has tried to do well. He has succeeded at many places but also has failed at many places. He tried to make this film a romantic comedy but it lacks proper romance and comedy.

Conclusion : This film is in the genre of Romantic Comedy hence it may attract audience also due to Katrina and Imraan and above all because of the Yash Raj Banner. But will this film entertain as much as expected? It's doubtful!

Verdict : Not a bad film; at the same time not a must watch film. If you have nothing to do this weekend, there is no problem in watching this film for time pass.
