Story : Irrfan Khan has played the role of Paan Singh Tomar. Actually this film is based on the real story of an athlete, who had to turn to be a rebel (dacoit) due to circumstances. Paan Singh Tomar was a runner who was also an army officer. He won Indian National Games seven times continuously. But things started taking bitter turn and he became a rebel who was also called a dacoit.

What were those bitter events which changed a National athlete to a dacoit is what this film is all about.

Acting : Irrfan Khan has brilliantly performed the title role. He has laboured hard to fit into the role and appears slim and like athlete. He impresses a lot as Paan Singh Tomar. Mahi Gill is also okay in her role. Rest actors are also up to the mark.

Script : Nothing to say about the story because it is a real story. It is a touching story. Its screenplay is tight and gripping. Its dialogues are powerful and punch the corrupt system and corrupt politician.

Music : Music is according to the subject.

Cinematography is also excellent.

Direction : Tigmanshu Dhulia has given a good film in the name of Paan Singh Tomar. He has directed well and impresses the audience. His takings are good and scenes are not senseless.

Plus Points : Touching Story; Irrfan Khan's Perfromance

Conclusion : It has been based on the real life of Paan Singh Tomar who was highly talented and won awards seven times in a row. Hence it would attract audience. Also it touches most Indians and strikes the right chord.
