Shudra The Rising Plot

Shudra is based on about two hundred & fifty million people born Out Caste in Hindu Varna system. These people were treated as Unclean & contaminated, so such extent that no one ever even touched them or allowed them to touch them. They did not even allow their shadows to fall on upper cast. People belonging to these categories were called by the names of Black Caste, Chandaal, Harijan, Antyaja, Schedule caste & SHUDRA - THE UNTOUCHABLES.

One man of this cast who was out caste 'Shudra' had to meet death just because of thirst and for want of a sip of water; A child who utters Holy Granths of Hindus is severely punished; Even a pregnant woman is not spared and she is compelled in the physical submission; any wounded person of these caste has to die in need of medicine, all for one crime only... Just because they are born in the caste of 'Shudra-The Untouchable'!

History says that nature took many centuries and ages to turn an animal into a man (nature wise), but it took a few seconds for certain man to turn into an animal to make their fellow people animal again. They were named in different way across the planet such as -'BLACKS', 'RED INDIANS', 'DASYU', 'DAS'Chandala, Antyaja, Black Caste, Out Caste, Schedule Caste & 'Shudra- The Untouchable'.

'Shudra- The Rising' portrays the depth of wickedness of bad human mind can yield, to adhere on to power and preeminence.

Even Dr. Ambedkar was considered as untouchable and many people of upper caste kept away from him and did not give him entry into their schools and colleges. He was not even allowed to drink water from school's pot.

Mahatma Gandhi was against this inhuman caste system and did a lot to eradicate it.

This film is an historical reminder of the threat of division and separation, issues which are as pertinent today as it was then.
