THANK YOU is a Hindi feature film produced by Ronnie Screwwala and Twinkle Khanna that released on 8th April 2011. The film happens to fall in comedy genre. But is it really a comedy? Is this film really going to make you laugh?

In the decades of 80, one film titled as PATI, PATNI AUR WOH, proved to be a hit film. Thereafter you don't know how many films were made on similar matter and theme in order to get success but hardly any film worked after that.

Story : Raj (Bobby Deol), Yogi (Suniel Shetty) and Vikram (Irfaan Khan) are three fast friends. All three do business together. Young and beautiful girls are their weakness. Their wives Sanjana (Sonam Kapoor), Maya (Celina Jetly) and Shivani (Rimi Sen) are unaware of the fact what kind of people their husbands are! They don't know that their husbands are of loose character.

They go to some other places everyday instead of going to office. They go on enjoying but their bad times start when Yogi's wife Maya catches him enjoying with some other girl. Thereafter Maya notices one necklace in the neck of her friend Sanjana. She tells her that there was a scheme regarding the sale of that necklace which was another free necklace with that.

Maya tells Sanjana that another necklace Raj must have presented to one of his girlfriend. Sanjana does not have any proof against her husband hence she with the help of Maya takes the help of private detective Kishan Jasoos (Akshay Kumar) to find out the truth. Detective Kishan has already exposed many husbands and have mended their ways.

But this deal is not so easy. When Kishan takes the deal in his hands to catch Yogi and Raj red-handed, he finds it very difficult to be successful in his mission because Raj and Yogi are very clever and they don't give him any chance to collect any evidence against them.

Script : There are many writers on the board who have written the film yet nothing could be found new. It looks similar to the film SHAADI NO. 1 which was directed by David Dhawan in which Sanjay Dutt played the role what Akshay has played in this film. There is no laughter in this film but you would laugh at the foolishness of the characters, writers, director etc and that will give impression to others that it's a comedy film.

Performance : The style of Irfaan Khan would appear to be different for you. He has acted well.

Suniel Shetty has performed his scenes brilliantly but he is not going to help the film due to poor script and poor direction.

Alskahy Kumar has once again over acted in this film and appears to be irritating. He should change his role and shift to some good comedy or action films. He should avoid cheap comedy in the name of comedy films. However, he impresses you in the climax.

Bobbu Deol looks good in comical roles and he has done well also.

Rimi Sen is gaining weight and she need to slim down to maintain her figure if she wants to survive in this film industry.

Celenia Jetly has already done similar role and acting in NO ENTRY so nothing new is here.

Sonam Kapoor, like her earlier flop films, fails to impress you in this film. She has the potential to do well if she could find a good script.

Music : Music of the film is okay which could be said to be plus point of the film. Preetam has done well in some of the songs and are better than the songs of some films which released recently.

Direction : The director Anees Bazmee once again tried to make a film on this theme which is not so good. His formula for making comedy films based on wives suspecting their husbands has gone old and now he needs to find some other formula to make his films. His earlier directed films like NO PROBLEM, was a big flop where his comedy or say cheap comedy didn't work. Now the audience has become sensible and they want sensible comedy. This is the reason why many people rejected KHICHDI which was baseless and insensible comedy. You go to watch films to be entertained not at the cost of you to be proved as foolish. By watching KHICHDI and THANK YOU, you are going to fall in foolish category.

Actually some time back Anees Bazmee had made a film titled as NO ENTRY which somehow clicked and became successful. This inspired Anees Bazmee to make his further films on the same track which proved to be wrong and thereafter almost all his films flopped.

Anees Bazmee made Akshay do all that which he has done earlier and you would get nothing new except some locations of Canada where he tries to make you laugh at all cost and you would laugh also but later you would ask yourself: why did you laugh!

Verdict : Not a sensible or fresh film. Not necessary to watch this film in theater but if have enough money to waste for forced laughter you may go for it otherwise wait to watch it on satellite or video.
