British copy of Amar Akbar Anthony coming soon

The yesteryears' one of the most celebrated movie by the late director Manmohan Desai 'Amar Akbar Anthony' will soon be witnessing its British adaptation.

The yesteryears' one of the most celebrated movie by the late director Manmohan Desai ' Amar Akbar Anthony ' will soon be witnessing its British adaptation. The movie would be titled as 'Amar Akbar & Tony'.

The director Atul Malhotra, who is known for developing several British versions of prime documentaries for British small screen, would be working on this project. One of the lead roles in this flick would be essayed by British-Indian actress Goldy Notay . She will be portraying the same image in the British version, which was earlier enacted by Parveen Babi .

The actress Goldy Notay attested the news saying the newly emerging movie will be inspired from the original one. She also says that Atul Malhotra, who would be directing the movie is very fond of original ' Amar Akbar Anthony ' and that's why the remake is on the way. Notay informed her role as Amar's sister, who develops her love interest in Tony. The role of Tony would be portrayed by Martin Delaney, which was played by super star Amitabh Bachchan in the primary version of the film. Goldy Notay , who has not seen the Hindi ' Amar Akbar Anthony ', is now very enthusiastic about watching the film. Goldy predicts that the movie would be centered on the theme of brotherhood.

The British film will be based on the story of three friends hailing from diverse religions and family backgrounds. The earlier film was containing Muslim, Hindu and Christian heroes, while the latest British flick would be featuring Christian, Muslim and Sikh heroes.

Well, one can't make out what late Manmohan Desai would have responded on this news.
