Fighting all the odd battles, Emraan Hashmi's first international venture 'TIGERS' is ready for its world premiere at Toronto International Film Festival on September 8.

Emraan Hashmi 's first international venture 'TIGERS' directed by Oscar Award winning director Danis Tanovic has got the golden opportunity to host its world premiere at the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) on September 8.

'TIGERS' plot is based on the true story of a salesman Ayan, played by Emraan, secures a job in a prestigious multinational company after a series of struggle. His job is to do the marketing of infant formula milk, a substitute for breast milk. But when he finds out about the damage of this formula milk on babies, he stands up against this mighty corporation.

Though, 'TIGERS' landing will take place pretty well on the red carpet of Toronto, the film didn't took off well in its initial days. Due to its highly controversial topic none of the Hollywood producers were ready to bag the project as they suspected legal possibilities from the corporation. Also, the film faced misfortune when a production house who agreed to produce the film got shut down just few weeks before the filming was about to begin in early 2007. But 'TIGERS' found a way out when two Indian producers Prashita Chaudary and Guneet Monga came forward to cash the film. Fighting all the battles Emraan's film is ready for its world premiere at TIFF.
