A year back, when Bhatt's attempted ' Murder 3 ' without the conceiver Emraan Hashmi , the film failed to attain the stature of "Murder" franchise set by this serial kisser. This made Mahesh Bhatt quote, "Emraan is inseparable part of the brand- Murder Franchise". But now, he has revised his mind and officially stated that Emraan won't be the part of Murder franchise anymore.

As per the sources, Mahesh said that Emraan has got matured as an actor and graduated to meaningful films like ' Mr. X ' and ' Hamari Adhuri Kahaani '. He doesn't need the franchise anymore. Therefore, Bhatt camp will be launching new faces in 'Murder 4', which will be the remake of Telugu film 'Maaya'.

Over the years, key components like erotica, young actors, hit music, betrayal, passion and an edge of the seat experience has made "Murder" a brand. The premises of 'Maaya' provide all these opportunities and thus, Bhatt's are likely to gear their fourth "Murder" collection from next year onwards.
