Last Friday also total 6 films were released at the box office. The much awaited movies like Mai , David , much hyped movie Vishwaroop , Midnight's Children and different films like Listen... Amaya and Deewana Main Deewana were released in theatres across the country. As usual, all the films got the absolute poor response at the box office.

The controversial movie by Kamal Haasan i.e ' Vishwaroop ', Bejoy Nambiar 's ' David ' was a hyped movie but they also failed to get a good response from the audiences. The filmmakers have invested a huge amount in their movie promotions but have failed to get the desired result. Both the movies ' David ' and ' Vishwaroop ' got a poor (below average) response from the audience at the ticket window. ' Vishwaroop ' has managed to earn just 7.70 crores in its first week whereas ' David ' has earned 2.60 crores of total box office collection in the first week of its release which is not a good amount for any big budget and much hyped film.

Same is the case with 'Mai'. The theatres had very low number of audiences to watch all the shows. This movie has performed even lower than ' Vishwaroop ' and ' David '. Experts think that the movie ' Mai ' may get down from the theatres till next week because of less occupancy.

But the star of the show is the movie ' Race 2 ' which is the sequel of ' Race ' in 2008 which is directed by Abbas Burmawalla and Mustan Burmawalla . Despite' Vishwaroop ' and ' David ' being the prominent releases last week, ' Race 2 ' as managed to take the lead in the box office's race.
