Padmavati: Ranveer Singh was slapped 24 times for a scene; last leg begins!

Finally, the last schedule of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming film Padmavati has commenced, interesting details out!

Sanjay Leela Bhansali ’s upcoming magnum opus Padmavati is very much on track despite the various roadblocks and obstacles it had to face! Now, the latest update claims that lead actors Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh have commenced the very last leg of the schedule. The team is giving its 100% to wrap things up on time. Actress Deepika Padukone has already wrapped her portion for the film although, she has kept three spare days for any patch work or additional scenes.

Ranveer Singh shared a fun story on social media that revealed an incident happened on the sets of the movie. For a scene, Ranveer had to get slapped from actor Raza Murad . But, since Bhansali is a perfectionist, he wanted it to be as authentic and accurate as possible. So, poor Ranveer was slapped 24 times to get the perfect shot! After that, his cheeks stayed red for quite some time!

Both the actors, Shahid and Ranveer are gearing up for the shoot. Shahid Kapoor posted a chic selfie on social media flaunting his beard and moustache. He captioned it: “back to the #moochh can't wait to get back on set #padmavati” Check out the picture here:

In the film, Ranveer will be seen essaying the role of the medieval-era Delhi ruler Alauddin Khilji. Deepika plays the title role of Queen Padmavati. Shahid Kapoor renders the role of Raja Rawal Ratan Singh of Mewar, who is the husband of the Queen Padmavati. It also stars Aditi Rao Hydari who essays Khilji’s favourite wife. Produced by Viacom 18 Motion Pictures, the period-drama Padmavati hits the screens on November 17, 2017.
