Subhash Ghai and Neeta Lulla to venture in fashion

Filmmaker Subhash Ghai along with fashion designer Neeta Lulla would be launching a fashion institute. The institute will offer an array of courses other than designing.

Eminent personalities like the Bollywood filmmaker Subhash Ghai and fashion designer Neeta Lulla have come together to present India a fashion institute. The last week saw the launch of The Whistling Woods - Neeta Lulla School of Fashion (WWNL).

Subhash Ghai opens up while talking about this joint venture with designer Neeta Lulla . He mentions, the Indian fashion business has taken the shape of multi-billion dollar industry with the fashion business accomplishing credibility and more awareness. Today, any person with a penchant for fashion designing can enroll for the course and have a successful career in it, unlike earlier days in which this option was assumed as niche, Ghai said. He added, with years of hard work of Indian designers, makeup artists, models and photographers, India is gradually attaining a pivotal position in the international fashion world.

Neeta Lulla intends to offer a holistic view of fashion industry to the students with this fashion school. Other than designing part, this institute provides an array of career fields to the students, such as quality control, pattern making, styling, marketing, visual merchandising, illustration, fashion journalism, fashion photography and many more.

This joint effort of Subhash Ghai and Neeta Lulla will take off from August 2013. The institute would be located out of the present campus.
