The script of Simmba modified to give Sara Ali Khan more screen space?
Simmba is the first collaboration between Karan Johar and Rohit Shetty, and Sara will mark her debut in Bollywood opposite Ranveer Singh.

You don’t have to worry when you have a Godfather-like Karan Johar . Karan has the highest success ratio in filmmaking and today, almost every star is a big name that has been launched by KJo. And among the newcomers, we have Sara Ali Khan , who will also be launched by Karan in a Rohit Shetty film, Simmba , opposite Ranveer Singh . It’s a known fact that Simmba is a remake of a Telugu film, Temper, and earlier, the script of the said film was written keeping Ranveer in mind. But now, when Sara has been roped in as the female lead, Karan and Rohit have decided to reconstruct the Simmba script to give the newbie more screen space.
A source close to the development spills the beans. “Initially Karan Johar was supposed to launch Sara. But he couldn’t find the right vehicle for her launch. So he allowed her to do Abhishek Kapoor’s Kedarnath . But when that project got into a roadblock, Karan offered Sara Simmba. But the film was completely Ranveer Singh’s. Karan asked director Rohit Shetty to modify the script to make more space for Sara. He didn’t want her to debut as a prop.”
In the film, Ranveer will be seen as a notorious and corrupt police officer who follows illegal paths. And as far as Sara’s role is concerned, the makers have decided to keep her character under the wraps.
The debut collaboration between Karan, Rohit, Ranveer and Sara will unfold in theatres on 28th December 2018.
