Kajal Aggarwal in, Catherine Tresa out from the Telugu remake of 'Bogan'?

The makers of an upcoming Telugu film, which is an official remake of the Tamil action-thriller blockbuster, Bogan, were about to wrap up the pre-production of the movie, but if the latest reports are to be believed, a major change in the casting is on the cards.

While Bogan starred Jayam Ravi and Arvind Swami in leading roles, its Telugu remake has Ravi Teja in the lead. Talking about the female lead, actress Catherine Tresa was initially roped in to play the lead heroine in the movie and she even took to Twitter to express her excitement, but now it seems she is no longer a part of the project. Reportedly, actress Kajal Aggarwal might fill her shoes.

According to reports, the makers of the film have already approached Kajal and the actress might sign the project on the dotted lines very soon. The makers feel that Kajal is widely popular among the fans of Telugu cinema and taking her onboard will definitely prove beneficial for them.

Lakshman, who directed Bogan, will direct the remake as well. However, he has introduced minor changes in the script keeping the sensibilities of the Telugu audiences in mind. “The second half in the remake will be even more intense and emotional. Since Telugu audiences like more emotional content, some minor changes will be made in the climax,” a source said.

The female lead, once selected, will essay the role which Hansika Motwani played in the original. The film was supposed to mount floors earlier this year but due to Ravi Teja’s prior commitments, the plan had to be pushed. Once the female lead is finalized, the makers will roll the film in Hyderabad with a plan of wrapping it up within three months.
