The sequel, tentatively dubbed ‘Bhaagamathie 2,’ is rumoured to be Anushka's 50th film, which adds to the enthusiasm among her devoted fans.

There has been no additional information given concerning the sequel film, and it is unknown who will direct it. It is unknown whether G Ashok, the original film's director, will return for the sequel. The director chosen will have a significant impact on the film's plot and general direction.

About Anushka Shetty’s ‘Bhagamanthie’:

‘Bhaagamathie’, which was released in January 2018, was a commercial triumph and marked Anushka's comeback to the big screen following her legendary performance in ‘Baahubali 2’. It was commercially successful when it was released in Telugu and Tamil.

The first chapter was an enthralling combination of history and the supernatural, resulting in a gripping criminal thriller. The plot revolved around Chanchala; a character imprisoned for the death of her fiancé. Vaishnavi Natarajan, Joint Director of the CBI, calls Chanchala as a witness in a case involving the theft of antique idols, which eventually involves important characters.

The genuine jewel of the picture was Anushka Shetty's amazing performance as Bhaagamathie. Her performance was full of grace, brilliance, and a dominating screen presence. Anushka shone throughout the movie, proving her ability to carry a film on her shoulders.

Meanwhile, supporting actors Unni Mukundan and Jayaram provided strong performances. Mukundan's brief role as Shakti had a big influence on the Telugu cinema industry, while Jayaram gave depth to his part as Ishwar Prasad, a politician with Gandhian ambitions. Their captivating conversation exchanges and performances were a highlight of the film.

Despite a plot that alternated between Chanchala and Bhaagamathie's stories, the film managed to keep viewers on the edge of their seats. S Thaman's engaging background soundtrack and R Madhi's outstanding camerawork added to the entire experience.
