‘Ponniyin Selvan I,' directed by Mani Ratnam and starring Aishwarya Rai, Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, and Trisha Krishnan, was a mega-hit. 'Ponniyin Selvan 2', as promised, is set to theatres this summer. The first part grossed 400 crores globally. The film's narrative, performances by the actors, and cinematography all received great praise.
After releasing the posters, the first song ‘Aga Naga’, and the teaser for the film, the makers have finally revealed the intriguing trailer for the film of the second installment. The trailer was unveiled at a mega event in Chennai amongst the lead stars of the film and South superstar Kamala Haasan.

The sequel's trailer teases spectators with royalty and some magnificent visuals. It also establishes that all of the key actors would have an equal presence, with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan stealing all of the focus as the vengeful Nandini, who yearns to avenge her father's death. The trailer also shows glimpses of the romance between warrior prince Vanthiyathevan and Chola kingdom's brain, princess Kundavai, played by Karthi and Trisha Krishnan, respectively.
Jayam Ravi, who plays Arunmozhi Varman, aka the future King Raja Chola, has made an impression in the excellent teaser of Ponniyin Selvan 2 with his brilliant re-entry scene. The prince, who was thought to be dead, is still alive and well. We can see some captivating fight scenes and absolutely great acting by Chiyaan Vikram and Aishwarya Rai.
