The Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Radio and Television Artists (SAG-AFTRA) in the US is currently on strike, thus Indian actor Deepika Padukone will not be at the 'Project K' premiere at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC). As a SAG-AFTRA member, Deepika will abide by the rules established by the union during the strike, which forbids performers from performing promotional or publicity tasks, such as making appearances at conventions like SDCC.

Even though 'Project K's first look will still be revealed during the event on Thursday, Deepika's absence will be noticed by fans who were looking forward to seeing her. With the help of fellow Indian actor Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, who made her Hollywood debut in 2017 with the film 'XXX: Return of Xander Cage' costarring Vin Diesel, has also shown support for the SAG-AFTRA strike in Hollywood.

SAG-AFTRA's members now have rules and regulations as a result of the strike that began on July 14. SAG-AFTRA actors are unable to take part in a number of events during the strike, including premieres, festivals, film tours, and award ceremonies.
