Sita Ramam: Kashmir serves as a dream location for Dulquer Salmaan as he shoots the film there
Malayalam superstar Dulquer Salmaan is currently prepping for the release of his film, Sita Ramam. The film stars Mrunal Thakur and Rashmika Mandanna in key roles. Salmaan and his team had the chance to spend roughly a month experiencing Kashmir's ‘beauty’ as parts of the film were shot there. The location's splendour was compared by the OK Kanmani (2015) actor to "stepping into a photograph" as he described his experience filming there.
While making his first trip to Kashmir, Dulquer Salmaan filmed scenes for Sita Ramam in the Thajwass Glacier, Dal Lake, Jalali House, and other stunning locales. The actor described his journey as "awe-inspiring" and said it was difficult to fully appreciate Kashmir's "depth and beauty" with the naked eye. He added that he would 'in a heartbeat' go to places in Kashmir like Gulmarg and Pahalgam.
Speaking about his love for Kashmir and his time spent there during filming, the 35-year-old actor said, "It’s like stepping into a photograph or a painting or a film. It’s hard to take in the depth and beauty of Kashmir with your eyes and believe you are witnessing it in person. It’s that awe-inspiring. In a heartbeat. I would love to visit Gulmarg and Pahalgam."
Recently, the teaser for Sita Ramam by Dulquer Salmaan was unveiled. The Covid-19 pandemic caused the movie's premiere to be delayed from 2020 to 2022. The worldwide release is scheduled for August 5th.
