Mahesh Babu has announced that he will collaborate with director Trivikram Srinivas on a film tentatively titled SSMB 28. The duo reunited after 11 years. Their last film together was Khaleja (2010). Their upcoming film is expected to begin shooting soon. The producers are reportedly in talks with Chiyaan Vikram for a key role, but the actor has yet to sign the dotted line.

If Chiyaan Vikram joins the team, SSMB 28 will be a big project, and we can expect the film to be a Pan Indian release because it stars two leading actors from the South Indian industry.

Despite playing a supporting role in the Kadaram Kondan (2018), Vikram was last seen in a negative role in Mani Ratnam's directorial Raavanan (2010).

Vikram has recently completed Mani Ratnam's epic film Ponniyin Selvan and the new age cyber-thriller Cobra, which will release one after the other this year. He will soon begin work on his next Chiyaan 61 directed by Pa. Ranjith. There is also talk about him starring in Kamal Haasan's new movie along with Vijay Sethupathi.
