Colors' show 'Udaariyaan' is all set to take a generational leap post which the current cast of the show will be eased out paving way for new actors to start the story afresh.

The current track of the show revolves around Sartaj's exit and Nehmat learning the truth about Aaliya being her daughter.

Recently, there were reports of actor Sheezan Khan being roped in to play the lead role in the show post leap. However, according to our highly placed sources, things between the makers and the actor didn't materialise and this Sheezan is no longer a part of the show.

A little birdie has informed us that 'Farrar' actor Anuraj Chahal is being considered to play the lead role in the project. A source added, " Anuraj has impressed the makers and a final nod from the Channel is expected soon. "

We couldn't connect with Sheezan or Anuraj for a comment.

'Udaariyaan' is produced by actors turned producer couple Ravi Dubey and Sargun Mehta. The show stars actors like Hitesh Bharadwaj, Twinkle Arora among others. The show started off with Ankit Gupta and Priyanka Chaudhary as leads.
