KBC 15: Sony TV Issues Statement Over Fake Video Of Amitabh Bachchan Asking A Question Defaming MP Chief Minister

Amitabh Bachchan’s Kaun Banega Crorepati 15 continues to be one of the most talked about shows. Time and again, KBC 15 makes it to the news owing to its promos, contestant stories, and more. And now, it has been making headlines due to a fake video going viral on the internet. What is it, you ask? The said video sees Big B asking a question to one of the contestants on Madhya Pradesh CM, Shivraj Singh Chouhan. In the video, he is called ‘Goshna Machine’. Upon finding out about the same, Sony TV issued a statement clearing things out.

The statement issued by Sony TV states, “We have been alerted to the circulation of an unauthorised video from our show, ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’. This video misleadingly overlays a fabricated voice-over of our host and presents distorted content. Upholding the show’s integrity and our viewers’ trust is paramount, and we are actively addressing this matter with the cybercrime cell. We strongly condemn such misinformation, urge our audience to be vigilant, and refrain from sharing unverified content.”

The question that Mr Bachchan was asking is: Among these chief ministers, who is known as the ghoshna machine because of their fake announcements? The options, meanwhile, include Manohar Lal Khattar, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Yogi Adityanath and Bhupendra Patel. When MP CM’s name was shown as the right answer, it led to a lot of unrest online, but the channel was prompt enough to issue a statement.

As for KBC 15, meanwhile, several celebrities have also been a part of this season, including Abhishek Bachchan, Saiyami Kher, Vicky Kaushal, Manushi Chhillar, and others.
