Shruti Haasan to step into her father’s shoes?
According to reports, Shruti Haasan is in talks to host the ongoing season of Bigg Boss Tamil in absence of Kamal Haasan who recently tested positive for COVID-19.

If reports are to be believed, Shruti Haasan is set to step into his legendary father Kamal Haasan’s shoes. How? Well, as we all know that Kamal Haasan is currently hosting Bigg Boss Tamil on Star Vijay. This is his fifth season as the host of the popular reality show.
The Indian (1996) actor is presently suffering from COVID-19. The actor announced his diagnosis recently and also shared that he has admitted himself to hospital as a precautionary measure. Since he is in hospital, the actor may not be able to shoot for Bigg Boss Tamil.
In his absence, his daughter Shruti Haasan is expected to take over the show. Some media outlets report that the Gabbar Is Back (2015) actress will replace his father as the host of Bigg Boss Tamil for the ongoing fifth season.
As per reports, the weekend episodes of the show are shot on Sunday mornings. The makers of Bigg Boss are in talks with Shruti Haasan to rope in her for the going forward. An official announcement is highly awaited though.
Meanwhile, Shruti Haasan is presently busy with her next film Salaar. Directed by Prashanth Neel, the multilingual film also stars Prabhas in the lead role.
