Uorfi Javed says she feels like ‘Deepika Padukone’ after Ranveer Singh calls her a ‘fashion icon’
Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh appeared in the first episode of the seventh season of Karan Johar's talk show Koffee with Karan. Even though the show has only had its first episode aired on an OTT platform, talks about the show are still going strong. In one of the segments, Ranveer Singh referred to actress and Bigg Boss OTT contestant Uorfi Javed as a "fashion icon." Uorfi now spoke about her thoughts over Ranveer Singh’s compliment as she went outside to celebrate Eid.
Speaking to the media, Javed said, “Ranveer Singh called me a fashion icon. I couldn’t believe it. I was watching a movie and suddenly I got a lot of calls from everyone. I couldn’t understand why they were calling me. They started asking me if I watched Koffee With Karan’s episode and started sending me its episode. I thought the episode must have been an entertaining one that’s why everyone is sending me. Then my sister called me and asked if I watched the episode. I said no, so she told me that Ranveer Singh called you a ‘fashion icon’."
Uorfi even believed Ranveer was "joking." She further added, “Initially I thought that he (Ranveer Singh) was making fun of me but he said it very nicely. It was very sweet of him. I am feeling like Angelina Jolie right now. No actually, I’m feeling like Deepika Padukone."
For the unversed, Karan questioned Ranveer about whose nightmare it would be to wear the same outfit too. The Gully Boy (2019) actor said ‘Uorfi Javed’ and even called her a ‘fashion icon.’
