We can freshly remember her as memorable face from the movie 'Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd'. Sandhya is seen various Bollywood films and TV serials. She is fondly called as 'Sandy'. The beauty was born on March 28, 1975 in Mumbai. Afterwards, Mridul family was shifted to Delhi. Sandhya went to Jaipur at the age of ten years to study in Maharani Gayatri Devi Girls' Public School. Her father P. R. Mridul was a lawyer and a high court judge. He expired when Sadhya was just fourteen years old. Sandhya's elder brother Siddharth Mridul, who is a sitting judge of Delhi High Court, brought up and took care of her. The actress is having another elder brother named Pankaj. Sandhya is a skilled dancer in Bharatanatyam.

Sandhya holds a degree in Mathematics and is a post-graduate in marketing. She did a corporate job in Mumbai with KLM. Mridul was aspiring to become a marketing executive, when she came in Mumbai. She became a part of the industry with her debut serial 'Swabhimaan'. Post this serial, she followed additional roles in another famous TV soaps, such as 'Koshish', 'Banegi Apni Baat' and 'Hu Ba Hu'. Bollywood world opened the doors for Sandhya with YRF film, 'Saathiya' (2002). She played the role of 'Dina' in the film and was noticed for it. The movie 'Saathiya' was greatly successful at the box-office.

This vivacious persona played an active part in the programme Extraa Innings, which used to aired during the Cricket World Cup 2003. Sandhya performed in a play about life of Buddha named 'Zen Katha' with Rajeev Gopalkrishnan. One of the shows 'Koshish Ek Aasha' by Sandhya Mridul was dubbed in Chinese language and was showcased in China in the year 2005. The actress performed a female protagonist role in it. Sandhya attained much popularity through this show in China.

Being bored of playing repetitive characters in television daily soaps, the lady decided to take a break from small screen. Then, she turned towards the big screen. With the co-stars Tara Sharma and Konkona Sen Sharma, Sandhya Mridul starred in the film 'Page 3' in 2005. The movie incurred great success and Sandhya's role of an air-hostess brought her praises from critics. The actress even received Best Actress in a Supporting Role from BFJA Awards.

The actress played an array of roles till now in her career. She was shown as a restless soul in an off-beat movie 'Strings'. Sandhya gave a great acting performance in the film 'Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd' in 2007. The other films in which Sandhya gave an acting performance include 'Deadline' (2006), 'Say Salaam India' (2007), 'Socha Na Tha' (2005), 'Kuchh Meetha Ho Jaye' (2005), 'Mr. White Mr. Black' (2008), 'Via Darjeeling' (2008), 'Hum Tum Aur Ghost' (2010), 'Waisa Bhi Hota Hai - Part II' (2003), 'Uuf Kya Jaadoo Mohabbat Hai..!' (2004), 'Quick Gun Murugun' (2009), 'Force' (2011), etc. One of her films, 'The Great Indian Butterfly' has not yet released.

Sandhya Mridul appeared in television shows like 'Hamen Jahan Pyar Mile' (1997), 'Aashirwad' (1998), 'Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin' (2004) and 'Ustaadon Ka Ustaad' (2008).

Soon, the actress will be seen in upcoming flick 'Ragini MMS - 2'.
