Rajinikanth is now filming ‘Thalaivar 170’, which will be directed by TJ Gnanavel, who previously directed Jai Bhim. The film, which features an incredible ensemble cast, has relocated to Mumbai, and it is a special reunion for Rajinikanth.
After 33 years, Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan are reuniting and will appear on screen in the flick. Rajinikanth's X (previously Twitter) handle announced the good news, writing, "After 33 years, I am working again with my mentor, the phenomenon, Shri Amitabh Bachchan in the upcoming Lyca's "Thalaivar 170" directed by T.J Gnanavel." My heart is pounding with delight!"

‘Thalaivar 170’ represents Rajinikanth's first cooperation with Jai Bhim director TJ Gnanavel. Apart from Thalaivar and Big B, the film contains an ensemble cast that includes Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Dushara Vijayan, Ritika Singh, and others. Although there has been no official confirmation, it is anticipated that the Darbar actor would play the character of a police officer in the film.
